ISRO completed uncrewed orbital re-entry flight simulations for Gaganyaan utilizing the human-rated LVM3 (GSLV Mk-III) rocket. India’s indigenous satellite navigation system, NavIC, is being progressively integrated across 5G civilian smartphones.

  • Gaganyaan: Demonstrates human spaceflight capability to Low Earth Orbit (LEO, ~400 km) with safe recovery in Indian waters.
  • NavIC (Navigation with Indian Constellation): Regional constellation of 7 satellites (3 Geostationary + 4 Geosynchronous) operating in L5 and S bands, expanding to L1 frequency.
  • IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre): Single-window autonomous nodal agency for private space sector participation.
  • NSIL (NewSpace India Limited): Commercial arm of ISRO under Department of Space (commercial satellite launches, PSLV production).
